On an annual basis, the previous Government commissioned a survey of the impact that the Physical Education & Sport Strategy for Young People (formally PE, School Sport & Club Links) was having on participation amongst the 5-19 age range.
Success was measured against national and Public Service Agreement (PSA) targets.
The PSA target for 2008 stated that:
Nationally this targeted was exceeded, hitting 90%. At a local level, 95% of young people within the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership achieved the target - a fantastic achievement!
In 2009, the target changed to reflect the new strategy and the ‘5 hour offer’. School Sport Partnerships were measured on the number of young people accessing 3 hours of high quality PE and School Sport.
Figures for 2010 were as follows:
A copy of the survey results, showing a school by school breakdown as compared to Partnership and national averages for 2007 - 2009, can be accessed below. The 2010 results show a school by school breakdown, along with nationally published reports.
