Junior Athlete Education Programme

Every year around 25 talented young athletes from across the Partnership take part in our Junior Athlete Education Programme (JAE).

The initiative, which is delivered in partnership with Youth Sport Trust, supports talented young athletes to maximise their sporting and academic potential by achieving a balanced lifestyle of training, competition, schoolwork, exams and family life.

The programme consists of six workshops delivered by world class British Athlete Mentors.  In recent years students have enjoyed the unique opportunity to work with Ben Pipes, captain of the Great British Volleyball Team at London Olympic Games, Mike Mullen, BMX two times World Championship, Nicola Minichiello, British number one Bobsleigh driver and World Champion and Montell Douglas, British sprinter and Commonwealth 4x100m relay Gold Medalist.

We also deliver a Performance Parent Workshop offering parents practical advice and tips on how to best support their high performing children.
