Primary School PE & Sports Coaching

Primary PE and Sport Coaches are occasionally deployed through North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership to support local primary schools to improve the quality of Physical Education and sport for all children.

They are a specialist team of fully qualified, highly motivated coaches who generally work alongside teachers to develop children’s physical literacy and health and well-being.

Coaches are offered regular partnership training and are committed to promoting, developing and supporting the delivery of partnership objectives.

 Main responsibilities and duties include:

  1. Support the development & delivery of high quality PE through a FUNdamentals and Multi-skills approach
  2. Increase participation amongst the less active, vulnerable and under-represented through (Change4Life) Sports Clubs
  3. Support / increase participation in Level 1, and where appropriate Level 2, competition
