KS2-3 Leadership Academy
We would like to invite your school to be part of the BGN family KS2-3 Leadership Academy, supporting your students to be inspiring Young Leaders!
Following the success of our inaugural Key Stage 2/3 Leadership Academy last year and our annual
Primary Young Workforce Conference in October, we hope your Young Leaders have been inspired to promote sports participation, healthy and active lifestyles within their own school through Playground Leaders, Change 4 life Champions and School Sport Organising Crews.
As a stepping stone on the leadership pathway, we will again be running the BGN Family KS2-3 leadership Academy. This will involve a selection of Year 5/6 Young Leaders and identified Year 7 Young Leaders from Blessed George Napier Catholic School. All members of the academy will come together on three occasions to receive specific leadership training to inspire and enthuse them to take on leadership roles within their own Schools. The Leadership Academy will also develop further Young Leaders’ skills, confidence and knowledge to support one of the BGN family Year 1 multi-skills festivals and Key Stage 1 competitions within their own Schools. The Academy will also aid the transition from Primary to Secondary School
We would like you to identify a maximum of six of your best Young Leaders to receive further leadership training as part our BGN Family Key Stage 2-3 Leadership Academy. Ideally these students would have previously attended the Primary Workforce Conference. You might also like to select leaders to attend to support their transition from Primary to Secondary School; these students might be lacking confidence, worried about moving to Secondary School etc.
There are three workshops in which all identified Young Leaders are expected to attend. This will enable all attending students to receive the full benefit of being part of the KS2-3 Leadership Academy. In addition there must be at least one member of staff present at each of the workshops
