Go, Go, Go Getters!

Go, Go, Go Getters!

Children in Year 3 & 4 at Dr Radcliffe's Primary School have recently formed a new club! The Go Getters! The children chose the name of their club, wanting it to show how much fun they have being active and on the go! They have even got their own badges to show they are proud to be in this 'Change 4 Life' inspired club.

They meet once a week at lunchtime and have so far enjoyed activities such as a weekly 1 minute skipping challenge (they love trying to improve on their score from the previous week), playing hide and seek in the woods, learning how to play 'Four Square,' fun relays and target games.

Dr Radcliffe's is an active school and the Go Getters are setting a great example to everyone in the school to sit less and move even more!

Multi-skills Madness

Multi-skills Madness

There was a fantastic turn out for our Banbury Academy Year 1 multi-skills festival on Thursday 4th May with nearly 300 children attending.

The sun shone as the children practised skills required for activities ranging from archery to golf.  The whole day was a great success and much praise must go to the team of 43 young leaders from year 7 and 8 who planned and delivered event.

Feedback from teachers included “The children loved it!”; “Well done! I thought the leaders today were excellent.  Great enthusiasm and encouragement.” and “Such a great morning.  Young leaders were outstanding with clear direction, expectations and enthusiasm.  The children learnt a range of new skills and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  Thank-you.”
