Three schools took part in the Gifted and Talented Sportshall Athletics competition this year. The children were invited to two taster sessions prior to the competition to practice the events. The competition was our first in the Olympic Year and there were some excellent performances. St Thomas More were the eventual winners with Edward Feild in second place and West Kidlington in third. St Thomas More will go forward to represent Kidlington in the Partnership Final in March. The feedback from the teachers was very positive and the children clearly enjoyed the experience.
Leaders from Gosford Hill School did a tremendous job in their roles as officials and Beth Hawtin promoted Oxford City Athletics Club.
