Queensway Playground Leaders

Organisation, co-operation, communication and responsibility were the focus of the day for 12 Queensway Young Leaders on Thursday 5th November.  The Year 6 students from Queensway Primary School spent the day developing these key leadership qualities and skills in order to become official Playground Leaders.They spent the morning building up a bank of games and activities that would be suitable to play with the younger children during lunch times.  Their skills were then put to the test in the afternoon when they organised and delivered a session for the Year 2 children.  They did a brilliant job of selecting games which included hot potato, parachute games, bowling, hoopla and dragon’s treasure.  The Year 2’s absolutely loved the session and are really excited about having the Year 6’s out at lunchtimes.  Well done Year 6, you did a fantastic jo

 Over 200 Y4-6s participated in the last event on the Banbury Academy 2017/2018 calendar on Thursday July 5th.  Targeted at children who had not yet attended a festival, it was a lovely event to finish with.
