Elite Athletes Galore!

North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership today welcomed its third world class performer in as many weeks.

Following recent visits from Ben Pipes, Captain of GB London 2012 Volleyball team and Craig Figes, Captain of GB London 2012 Water Polo team, it was a pleasure today to welcome Mike Mullen.

BMX rider Mike, who has performed all across the world, winning two world championship titles before founding his own BMX Academy, was in Blessed George Napier School to share his vast experience and to support and inspire our group of Junior Athlete Education (JAE) students.

The focus for today’s session (Workshop 2) was ‘Goal setting’.  Mike explained and demonstrated the importance of having clear SMARTER goals, before supporting the talented young athletes to explore and log their own long, medium and short term goals.

He also broke off at one point to teach the students a trick-or-two!!

Mike will be back again in January to work with the same students on the importance of Time Management.
