Perfect weather for Cross-Country!?!!

Across two days, 552 runners descended on Sibford School and The Warriner School to tackle the North Oxfordshire Cross Country Finals 2015.

The tail end of ‘Storm Barney’ meant runners faced tough conditions during the Year 1 to 6 races, with constant rain from the point teams arrived to the time they departed.

The Year 7 to 13 runners may have avoided the rain on Thursday, but they certainly came across plenty of mud around The Warriner Farm fields!

Young Leaders from the respective host schools marshalled the routes, ‘hared’ the primary school races and collated results. Grateful thanks to both teams of ground staff for marking the routes and ensuring safe passage though the sheep fields for the secondary runners!

Huge Congratulations to the top two teams from Year 3 to 13 who have qualified for the Oxfordshire Sainsbury’s School Games Finals in March. Congratulations as well to the Top 3 Individual Runners in each race, who are also invited to compete at the Level 3 Finals.
