End of term fun and games

Just before the Christmas break, year 2 pupils at Dashwood School-Banbury competed in a level 1 competition to conclude their unit of work on sending and receiving.

All pupils involved made fantastic progress and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of building on their previously learnt skills in a game situation.

We had both year 2 classes out at the same time, where they competed against pupils off a similar ability to keep motivation, challenge and enjoyment levels high.

All pupils played in a number of matches and also had the opportunity to practice with their team mates in between their games to work out how they could improve further.

Below are a few comments from pupils who participated:

Panashe - 'I liked working in teams because you can work together'

Deon - 'I enjoyed moving to get the ball'

Pawel - 'I liked defending because it's fun'

Rosa - 'I liked learning about balance and agility because it helped in games to be quick'

Well done to all pupils and staff involved in running the competition.
