Kidlington Family – Sporthall Athletics Festival

Years 5 and 6

The Sportshall Athletics involved over 100 of our year 5 and 6 children from across the Kidlington Family of primary schools.

Our value for the day was passion; the students took this value and produced displays bristling with positivity, determination and support of others throughout the event.

The first round saw fierce competition in our field events; Standing Triple Jump, Foam Javelin, the Chest Push, the Vertical Jump and standing Long Jump. Each station was led by our leaders from Gosford Hill who set up led and guided the students to produce some outstanding results.

Once the field events were complete we moved on to the track events; including Obstacle, paarlauf and lap relays. The students displayed outstanding Athleticism and raucous support as their teams competed on the track.

Edward Field eventually triumphed beating West Kidlington into second place, with St Thomas More 3rd and then North Kidlington and Dr South respectively.

Each school also nominated two students who were rewarded for displaying our focus value of passion.

A big thankyou to our leaders from Gosford who were outstanding in their organisation and support of our primary school children and to the teachers for their help.
