Cooper Family Year 2 Multi-Skills Festival

More than two hundred and twenty five children from Charlton-on-Otmoor, Fringford, Launton, Longfields, Glory Farm and Langford Village Primary Schools participated in the recent Cooper Family Multi-Skills Festival aimed at children in Year 2, with two sessions being provided to meet the high demand.

Young leaders from The Cooper School expertly ran warm up activities for the younger children, followed by a circuit of activities to develop their agility, balance and coordination. The event concluded with a series of races; an opportunity for the children to put the skills they had practised to the test in a competitive but fun environment.

During the event, the Spirit of the Games value of determination was a key focus area. A child from each team was selected and presented with a special certificate in recognition of their hard work and perseverance throughout the festival.

The event, part of the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership competition programme, was successful with much enthusiasm and enjoyment evident.

“Great day! As always-great organisation”. (Teacher, Langford)

“Brilliant event which was enjoyed by all”. (Teacher, Fringford)

“Fantastic leaders – very enthusiastic and helpful”. (PE Coordinator, Launton)
