Cricket Activators

A group of students from Banbury Academy gathered on the final day of the spring term to train to become Young Cricket Activators.

The 3 hour workshop focused on developing generic leadership skills in a cricket context and equipped the youngsters to provide support with regular primary school cricket lessons and clubs.

Throughout term 5 the trained leaders will work in pairs with a qualified coach from Banbury Cricket Club in six of our Banbury primary schools, developing respect, fair play, tolerance and cooperation through cricket.

The inspirational young leaders will also support our two Banbury Kwik cricket cluster competitions in May.
