You are never a failure...

'You are never a failure until you fail to try'

These are the words of Eimear Moss, aged 9, St. John's Roman Catholic Primary School, and winner of last summer's Oxfordshire School Games Poetry Competition.

How true they are, as was so ably demonstrated by athletes from across the world at the recent Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Eimear's full poem reads:

To be a self-believer, there's a lot that you must do.

Read this poem carefully and your dreams will come true.

Aim for new targets and strive for success in whatever you do,

Even if it's something new to you.

But don't get too lost and bewildered in all that is said-

Keep your focus in what lies ahead.

No matter what keep going, leave your doubts behind,

And remember you are never a failure until you fail to try.
