Oxfordshire Megafest

On Friday 23rd June Brookside’s change4life club descended upon Stratfield Brake Sports ground, Kidlington for the Oxfordshire Megafest.  Nine other primary schools from across Oxfordshire where in attendance including Chesterton, Christopher Rawlings, Edward Field and West Kidlington from the North.

In blustery conditions teams were welcomed and introduced to the six school games values; self-belief, honesty, determination, passion, respect and teamwork. These values would feature throughout the day as teams rotated around a carousel of fun and varied activities.  These included quidditch, archery, boccia skills, orienteering, nutrition workshop, all stars cricket, foot golf and parachute.

All students really enjoyed the challenge each activity brought with many of the school games values evident.  Having had an exhausting and fun-filled day, Brookside's change 4 life club members sang their rap on the journey home.

“I thought today was amazing and I really loved the quidditch.” (Connor)

“I enjoyed everything and I learned about self-belief.” (Andjela)

“I learned not to give up and enjoyed the parachute game the best.” (Anthony)
