The first of this year's NOSSP Banbury events was a huge success with children taking part from 10 schools across the area. The Cross Country competition involved 445 children from Years 1 to 6 as well as 48 Year 7 Young Leaders and 7 Y12 Young Leaders from Banbury Academy.
All the children did themselves proud as they ran with self-belief and determination to cross the finish line. St. Leonard's and Bishop Loveday had a particularly successful morning, both winning 3 out of the 6 team events! St. Leonard's won the 1/2 girls, 5/6 girls and 5/6 boys events whilst Bishop Loveday won the 1/2 boys, 3/4 girls and 3/4 boys events. Amazing!! St. Leonard's took the overall trophy with Bishop Loveday in 2nd and Hillview in 3rd.
The top 2 teams from each age group, as well as the top 10 individuals in each age group, go through to the partnership finals at Sibford School in November.
