137 Year 5 & 6 children participated in the Cooper Family of Primary Schools Tag Rugby Festival held at The Cooper School on 16 October 2009. The event was organised by Cooper School on behalf of the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership and was run by KS4 Sports Leaders from The Cooper School. The seventeen Year 11 students were central to the delivery of the event, leading warm up activities for the younger children and refereeing the matches.
Fourteen teams from Langford Village, Charlton-on-Otmoor, Glory Farm, Fringford, Finmere, Launton and Longfields Primary Schools played in a series of competitive and skilful games. The event was won by Langford Village School, having defeated Charlton-on-Otmoor School in an exciting and closely contested Final.
The Festival proved to be a highly successful event and great fun for all.
