NSSW Larry Achike Visits BCC
Released: 3rd July 2009 at 09:10 AM
Team Super schools visited Bicester Community College bringing with them special guest star Commonwealth Gold medallist triple jumper Larry Achike.
The day involved years 7,8 and 9 all of whom took part in a fitness circuit for which they raised sponsor money.
As part of each hour long session students had the opportunity to have a picture taken with Larry, as well as a question and answer session on his life as a professional athlete.
We were extremely privileged that Larry took 2 students through some training drills in our newly refurbished Long jump pits as part of his visit and also performed a jump in front of around 200 students who cheered him on.
The day really enthused and inspired our pupils all of whom participated with real vigor.
