KIDLINGTON HIGH 5 NETBALL FESTIVAL 2009
This year’s festival was held at West Kidlington School. Ten teams took part from four of our five primaries.
We were very lucky to have Miss Rose, PE teacher from Gosford HiIl, and Tess Horne from Kidlington Netball Club umpiring the matches. The children learnt a lot from them throughout the afternoon and the standard of play improved as the tournament progressed. Each competitor received a certificate on which was printed an invitation to join the junior section of Kidlington Netball Club on Saturday mornings at Gosford Hill.
Each team was managed by a Leader from Gosford Hill School. They warmed the children up, ran small drills with them and guided them through the afternoon.
Dr South’s team was celebrating Children in Need Day and arrived wearing their pyjamas. That has to be a first!!!!
St Thomas More School were the winners beating West Kidlington A team in a closely fought final.
Well done to all competitors!!
