Released: 18th June 2009 at 19:00 PM

Banbury 20 Cricket club was the venue for 6 schools from the Banbury area. Banbury and NOA families came together to enjoy a full day of Kwick Cricket.

Present at the year 5 and 6 festival held on the 18th of June were St Leonards, St Marys, Cropredy, Hanwell Fields, Orchard Fields and Hardwick all producing teams for year 5 Boys, year 5 and 6 Girls and year 6 Boys. The North Oxfordshire Leaders manged to squeeze 6 picthes into the ground and prepared themselves for a very busy day. We saw some fantastic cricket with some very high scoring games from the year 6 boys and some amazing bowling by the end of the day as many were improving throughout the day.

A huge congratulations for all teams involved as it was an enjoyable day their were a lot of tired individuals by the end, including my leaders.

Congratulations to St Leonards who continue to be very strong cricket school winning all 3 catagories with all 3 teams undefeated, fantastic team work and support of each other. Runners up positions year 5 boys and year 5 and 6 girls places go to St Marys who proved to be very strong teams. The year 5 boys runners up were Cropredy school.

Well done all, and a big thank you to all the teachers for keeping your teams motivated and ready for each new game.
