Cooper Family Dance Festival 2009

The annual Dance Festival for The Cooper Family of Primary Schools took place at The Cooper School on 27 March 2009. The highly successful event was run by Lise Harris, Dance Co-ordinator of the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership, assisted by 26 Year 8 and 9 students from The Cooper School.

159 Year 1 children from Langford Village, Launton, Longfields, Finmere, Charlton-on-Otmoor and Glory Farm Schools took part in the Festival and, for the vast majority; this was their first experience of an inter-school physical education event.

The Cooper School Leaders taught the younger children a short dance, based on a well known children's story, and the Festival culminated in a performance by the KS1 children of the dance they had learnt.
