Young Leader Award

In spite of a snow covered playground the scheduled Young Leader Award went ahead at Dr. South's school in Islip. The aim of the course was to train Year 5 and 6 children to act as leaders, in their playground, during lunchtimes or OSHL.
In the morning the leaders learnt how to use space and equipment sensibly, how to divide children into teams and the qualities needed to be good leader. In the afternoon they led a group of Year 3 and 4 children through a variety of activities that they had prepared
