KIDLINGTON SCHOOL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP & KIDLINGTON AND GOSFORD SWIMMING CLUB GIFTED AND TALENTED PRIMARY SCHOOLS SWIMMING GALA

On the afternoon of Friday 30th January all five schools from our Partnership took part in an U11 swimming gala. It followed a similar format to one that had been successful in the West Partnership.

The gala was divided into two sections: one for the larger schools, Edward Feild, North Kidlington and West Kidlington and one for the smaller schools, Dr South's and St Thomas More.  A team was made up of 4 boys and 4 girls and they each took part in two relays and a whole team final float race. We had time to spare and the gala ended with a couple of fun events.

The children supported and respected each other throughout and everyone enjoyed the afternoon. West Kidlington won the larger schools gala and St Thomas More the smaller schools.

Leaders from Gosford Hill School ran the afternoon with support from Chris Howes, Roger Howes and Pam Selby. Rod Fowler and Kay Hoffman, Chairman and Secretary respectively of Kidlington & Gosford Swimming Club, gave their support and the children were encouraged to join the Club.
