Released: 12th December 2008 at 14:00 PM

Fifteen teams from the local schools took part in the Kidlington Partnership Tag Rugby Festival on Friday 24th October at Stratfield Brake. Students from Gosford Hill School refereed and coached throughout the afternoon.

The teams played in two round robins throughout the afternoon and the final results were: West Kidlington third team in 3rd place, North Kidlington first team in 2nd place and West Kidlington first team in 1st place.

The trophy, donated by Gosford All Blacks, was presented to the captain of West Kidlington first team by Mark Gardner. This is the fourth year in a row that West Kidlington has won the trophy. All three schools will go forward to the Tag County Final at Bicester Rugby Club on 12th November. The winner and runner up of this tournament will represent our District in the Oxfordshire Youth Games in June

All children received a certificate. Details of Gosford All Blacks training, on Sunday mornings at 10.30am at Stratfield Brake, were printed on the back.
