Bicester Community College Family Playground Leader Training
Released: 20th November 2008 at 14:55 PM
Throughout the Autumn term training has been ongoing in Primary schools to run on from last years Playground leaders.
In Primary schools 20 year 5 and 6 young leaders were selected by staff and have been trained in how to deliver playground games and activities to younger pupils.
The training differed from last year in that training was done in Primary schools with the Lunchtime supervisors present, so that they are better able to support the leaders during the coming year.
It was found that where the program ran last year that incidents of poor behaviour were signigicantly reduced.
In total 160 students were trained and monitoring of there progress is ongoing.
