The annual Dance Festival for The Cooper Family of Primary Schools took place at The Cooper School on 12 March 2010. The highly successful event was run by Sarah Hastings, Dance Co-ordinator of the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership, assisted by 26 Year 8 students from The Cooper School.
More than 150 Year 1 children from Langford Village, Longfields, Finmere, Fringford and Glory Farm Schools took part in the Festival and, for the vast majority; this was their first experience of an inter-school physical education event.
The theme for the Festival was “Magical Mystery”. The Cooper School Leaders “transported” the younger children to a land of witches and wizards and the event culminated in a performance, by the KS1 children, of the dance they had learnt. Great fun was had by all.
