On Friday of National Sports Week, North Kidlington School held the final of their World Cup Football Tournament.
The World Cup tournament was based on the real World Cup and there were 32 teams of 5 a-side. The children were randomly put into teams ranging from FSU to Yr 6. In a World Cup style draw during assembly they were allocated to a country. The games then followed the World Cup group stages with the winner of each group going forwards into the quarter finals, semis etc. The wining team was Italy! The children really enjoyed the tournament with 32 teams taking part with 155 children across the school.
