Olympic medallist Gail Emms was in North Oxfordshire on Tuesday 29 June to visit Schools that were taking part in Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week 2010.
The Olympic Medallist spent the morning with schools in the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership after the Partnership won the visit for being nationally recognised by the Youth Sport Trust for the successful delivery and inclusion of young people during Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week 2009.
Miss Emms, who won a silver medal with badminton doubles partner Nathan Robertson at the Athens Olympics in 2004, visited students taking part in a ‘row the channel’ challenge at Blessed George Napier Sports College followed by a visit to events happening at The Cooper School, Bicester and a Primary Penathlon at Bicester Community College.
