Date:  Thurs 13^th October   Time: 2:00 pm arrival, 2:30pm start, approx. finish 4pm

Venue: The Bicester School

Age Groups: Under 9 (Y3&4), Under 11 (Y5&6) Boys & Girls          

Teams: Min. Team of 4 / Max. Squad of 8

Event intent: To improve health and to support individual development in sport.

 

Rules:

o        Each team should consist of a maximum of 8 runners; the first 4 runners to finish in each team will count toward the overall team score.

o        Points will be awarded based on finishing position i.e. 1^st place = 1 point, 2^nd place = 2 points…..15^th place = 15 points etc. (Schools fielding less than 4 competitors will be given the score equivalent to the last runner plus one. i.e. if there are 36 runners in a race, a team with only 3 competitors would have 37 points added to their score). The winning team will be the one with the lowest combined score.

o        Competitors will be issued with a finishing card on completing the race, this should be presented to their team manager who is responsible for recording results on the paperwork provided and returning to the Event Organiser as soon as possible after each race has finished.

o        Age groups and distances as follows:

Additional Information:

o        Races will not be timed.

o        School staff are responsible for the safety, well-being and behaviour of their own children and should offer appropriate first aid provision.

o        Photographs may be taken at this event for publicity purposes by North

Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership; they may appear on our website, social media pages or as media releases to local press. Please notify the Event Organiser of any students who are not permitted to have photographs taken.

o        NO Spectators will be allowed to attend this event. Parents/Guardians are able to collect at the end of the event from outside the school gate.

Progression: 

Area events: The top four teams and top 20 individuals in each race will qualify for the North Oxfordshire Final on Friday 25^th November 10am-12pm @ Sibford.
