Rounders and Cricket festivals in Bicester

During National School Sports week neighbouring Schools Brookside and St. Mary’s opened their adjoining gates to a festival of sport.  Nearly one hundred and fifty Key Stage 2 children took part in kwik cricket and rounders matches between both Schools.  These were supported by Year 12 Bicester School Higher Sport leaders.  It is hoped this is the beginning to many more inter-school matches in a number of sports.  Bets Martin (PE Coordinator Brookside) commented, “It would be fantastic if we could do this on a more regular basis.”
