Bicester Family Year 2 Multi Skils

Year 2 Multi-Skills Festival

Over 150 Year 2 children participated in the Bicester Family multi-skills festivals held at Bicester Sports Centre on Wednesday 30th November 2016.  This event in its third year, involved  children from Fritwell, Five Acres, Southwold, St. Edburg’s, Heyford Pak and Chesterton Primary Schools competing in various relay races including bean bag, rugby, scoop obstacle and hurdles relays.

Competition was fierce across all races with lots of effort, determination and enjoyment on display.  Teams were divided into four heats of six teams.  In heat 1 Southwold A just edged to take the top spot.  Heat 2 was also closely contested with Southwold ‘B’ coming first.  St. Five Acres ‘D’ won heat 3 and Heyford Park ‘E’ were victorious in Heat 4.

During the festival, the Spirit of the Games value ‘Passion’ was a key focus area.  This was apart when the schools were cheering and encouraging each other to compete all the way to the line!

Thank you to twenty-six Key Stage 3 Student Leaders from the Bicester School who provided a positive experience for all competitors and took on various roles including track judges, scorers, equipment managers and demonstrations.

Congratulations to all children, young leaders, teachers and additional adults who all contributed to a fun and enjoyable festival.
