Ex-student qualifies for World Championships

Heloise Hardie, ex-Blessed George Napier student, this week contacted Mr Orton with some exciting news regarding her selection for Team GB for the forthcoming Fencing World Championships.

This is what she had to say:

Hi Mr Orton

Heloise here.  I just thought I would update you with a few of the competitions I've had recently.  I've been quite busy! 

In January I went to Zagreb in Croatia as part of the GB under-20 squad.  It was my best international result to date as I came 50th and was top Brit.

Then at the start of February I won the silver medal at the under-23 nationals, only dropping 3 points in my poule! 

This weekend I got an exciting email telling me I have been selected to go the World Championships in Verona, this April with the women's GB under-20 foil squad.  There are just three of us and it is such fantastic news.
