Year 5 & 6 Tag Rugby festival
On the 3rd October, The Cooper Cluster primary schools attended the year 5 & 6 tag rugby festival. There were 13 teams from all 8 cluster primaries, total about 130 children. There were 3 pools with pool A and B playing for a place in the finals. Pool C played against each other gaining valuable experience and learning a few more tag rugby skills and rules. After teams had played each other in their pools, a semi-final was held between winners and runners’ up and then a final for winners, runners’ up, 3rd and 4th placed teams playing against each other.

1st- Langford,
2nd - Fringford, these 2 teams qualify for the next round.
3rd – Longfields
4th – Burepark
5th – Charlton-on-Otmoor
6th – Glory Farm
7th – Finmere
8th – Launton

2 – Burepark 2
3 – Launton, Glory Farm, Longfields
The school games value was Respect and teachers had to nominate children to receive certificate for displaying the value. The sports leaders also had the opportunity to nominate children that they felt had shown them respect. Again the sports leaders did a fantastic job as referee, score keepers and generally controlling the running of the games.
