Wykham Park Ac. Y5/6 SHA

Students from 7 of Wykham Park Academy’s cluster primary schools competed in a highly competitive Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics event on Thursday 14th February.  It was a very exciting morning with the 160 children trying to out run, jump and throw each other.  The competitors took part in the field events first – girls and boys standing long jump, vertical jump, triple jump, foam javelin, chest push and speed bounce and then the track events, racing up and down the sportshall.  Congratulations to Hanwell Fields who won the event with a clear lead of 56 points, Hillview finished in 2nd and Queensway 3rd.  Well done to all the competitors for participating and showing outstanding teamwork throughout the event.  Good luck to Hanwell Fields who go on to represent our cluster at the Partnership finals in March.
