Queensway wins Aldi's Kit for Schools

On Friday 17th January we had a special visit from Hannah Macleod, the Gold Medal Olympic hockey player who announced we had been 1 of 20 schools to win the Aldi competition. It was a very special day at Queensway and the children and staff were completely shocked and incredibly excited to have won such a large amount of money, £20,000.  We are hoping to use the money to make improvements to the outside area, focusing on developing our gym trail and potentially the forest area. The development of these areas will create new opportunities for our children, raising the profile of physical education and a healthy and active lifestyle. This will be the start of creating brighter and more 'hands-on' opportunities for our children.
