North Oxon to host Stage One of Women's Tour
The Women’s Tour is coming to Oxfordshire for the second time, with the county hosting the first stage of the AJ Bell partnered event on Monday 4th October. The prestigious Grand Départ from Bicester’s Market Place will see 100 of the worlds best riders set out on a 147km ride around the south of Oxford, before heading north to the finish line at Banbury Cross.
The route will pass by several North Oxfordshire schools, providing a wonderful opportunity for young people to experience the thrill and inspiration of elite sport on their doorstep! As well as a chance to line the route and cheer on the riders as they go by, there will be lots of opportunities for young people to engage in activities at both the start and finish areas.
