Change4Life Celebration Festival (north)

Under a glorious summer sun, 9 schools from across the BGN, Banbury and Warriner clusters came together to celebrate their very successful Change 4 Life (C4L) clubs. All children were invited who currently attend a C4L club and we hosted over 120 children accompanied by 15 members of staff and supported by numerous parents.

All children had the opportunity to take part in archery, dodgeball, parachute games and boccia. Walking around it was evident that everyone was taking part to the best of their abilities, and most importantly, enjoying sports and activities on their own and with others.

The value for the festival was “self belief” and teachers had the difficult task of choosing just two children from their school to receive a special certificate at the end. All children will receive a well deserved participation certificate for their efforts!

Lastly, the festival was a success largely due to the fantastic year 9 leaders from Banbury Academy. I saw encouragement, empathy, enthusiasm, and some great problem solving from all the young leaders so well done!

Thank you if you attended and maybe see for the next festival.
