Released: 17th June 2009 at 10:20 AM
On Monday the 15th June Year 2 pupils from Kings Meadow, Southwold, Brookside, Chesterton, Fritwell and St Edburgs all travelled to Bicester Community College for the annual Year 2 Olympics.
The format of events allowed the pupils to score points for the there schools for participating in 4 field events and then a 50m running race.
The day was organised using 32 Year 9 leaders from BCC, who again were excellent in there ability to organise, motivate and run the events.
During the day a total of 178 pupils had the opportunity, many for the first time, to represent there schools and work as part of a team.
Finishing top of the score table at the end of the day were Brookside, closely followed by Kingsmeadow and Chesterton.
Well done to all those involved.
Mr Wootton
