Spring Change4life Festivals

Over seventy children from six Schools took part across two change life festivals this term. The first festival took place on Tuesday 15th March at Edward Field Primary School and Blessed George Napier Catholic School hosted the second festival on Thursday 17th March with Brookside, Christopher Rawlins, St. Joseph’s, Dashwood and the Grange Primary Schools attending.

Following a whole group warm up of follow my leader and fire and ice tag, teams rotated around five activities.  These included in archery, sitting volleyball, tag games, noughts and crosses and exploring various games from the ‘Flight’ change 4 life bag.  In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere all children and accompanying adults really enjoyed the challenge each activity bought.

During the festival, the Spirit of the Games value ‘Determination’ was a key focus area.  Two members from each team were presented with a special certificate to recognise their high effort level and positive attitude throughout the festival.

We look forward to similar fun at the County Change4life festival scheduled in June during National School Sports Week. .
