Change 4 Life - Banbury Schools Festival

Banbury Schools C4L Celebration festival – December 2018

Last year, Orchard Field hosted a very successful C4L festival. This year we moved to The Warriner School where we could accommodate the growing number of schools attending the event. Schools from across the BGN, Banbury and Warriner cluster came together to celebrate their very successful Change 4 Life (C4L) clubs. All children were invited who currently attend a C4L club and we hosted 160 children from across 10 schools, accompanied by 22 members of staff.

As a growing event, we decided to introduce some new activities for children to experience. All children had the opportunity to take part in archery, dodgeball, parachute games, Gymnastics and team work challenges. It was lovely to see so many children enjoying themselves and gaining new experiences in and through sport. One child even commented “I’m having the best time!”.

The value for the festival was ‘team work’ and this time we gave young leaders the difficult task of choosing two children from their group to receive a ‘team work’ certificate at the end of the festival. All children also received their own ‘participation’ certificate for their hard work!

The festival was run by Warriner School young leaders who were fantastic. Many teachers and children commentated on how much they enjoyed the festival but particularly working with these super ambassadors from The Warriner School.

Thank you if you attended and hopefully see you for the next festival.
